Our hoodies are built on Gildan 18500 heavyweight fleece — a 50/50 cotton/polyester blend with a double-lined hood and 1x1 ribbed cuffs and waistband. It's a heavier, denser fabric than a typical hoodie, which is part of why it holds the screen-printed back graphic so well. It also means it responds a little differently in the wash than a thin cotton tee. Here's how we recommend caring for it.
Washing
Machine wash cold, max 30°C (90°F). Turn the hoodie inside out first — this protects the large back print and the chest wordmark from direct friction against zippers, buttons, or other garments in the load.
Bleach
Non-chlorine bleach only, and only if needed. Chlorine bleach will fade both the black and white colorways and can damage the print.
Drying
Tumble dry on medium heat. High heat is the single biggest cause of shrinkage and print cracking on heavyweight fleece — if you're not sure, air-drying flat is always the safer option for a printed graphic.
Ironing
If you need to iron, use low heat and steam, and never iron directly over the printed design. Iron the reverse side, or place a thin cloth over the print if you need to press the front.
Dry cleaning
Do not dry clean. The solvents used in dry cleaning can break down screen-print ink.
